Circle Lens Review: Bunny Color Brown from Klenspop

Hi everyone! Today I will be reviewing the Lenspop Bunny Color Brown from Klenspop. 

The Bunny Color Brown lens is a pretty natural honey-brown contact lens. They come in glass containers that are securely sealed at the top (be careful when opening these!). The package from Klenspop contains a manual, a box that protects the contacts, lens case, and contact lens tweezer.

What I love about these lenses are that they are not too big like many circle lenses. They are natural sized, but gives your eyes a vibrant honey-tone. There is also a pronounced limbal ring around the outer part of the lens.

The lenses are very comfortable because they are not thick like most circle lenses are. These are also available in prescription as well. The color is vibrant and they are still comfortable after 7 hours of wear. The size is not too big and is smaller than more circle lenses at (14.0mm), but it does make your eyes look larger and brighter.

Trends: Natural-Tone and Silicone Hydrogel Circle Lenses in Korea, Taiwan, and other parts of Asia

The days of bold and colorful circle lenses seem to be quickly passing as more natural lenses are taking the scene. Seen on celebrities, in the magazine, and all over the streets in Asia, natural looking lenses are more popular now and seem to be complementing the move to a more natural complexion as seen in makeup trends in Asia.

Some of the top trends seen in circle lenses are: 

-Slightly enlarging natural brown lenses

 -Silicone hydrogel lenses

-Monthly, weekly, and daily circle lenses

About Silicone Hydrogel Circle Lenses: 

Silicone Hydrogel lenses were introduced when many people were having issues with oxygen flow wearing normal contact lenses in the 1990s. The lack of oxygen flow causes Hypoxia which leads to red eyes, infections, and discomfort. Silicone Hydrogel lenses claim to be more comfortable to wear than regular lenses and enable up to 5 times more oxygen flow than from regular lenses. 

Some things to keep in mind is that Silicone Hydrogel lenses are not for everyone. Some people have been found to be allergic to the material and some find it more uncomfortable than regular lenses. It's always best to check with your optometrist to see if Silicone Hydrogel lenses are a good fit for you. 

New and Popular Circle Lens Styles in 2015: 

Clalen Iris Lenses: 

Natural ring lenses that have a graphic size of only 13.3mm. They have very minimal enlarging and accent effect. The colors available in this line are in natural colors like brown and black and do not have any bold colors. These are daily disposable lenses with Bae Suzy as the face of this contact lens line.

Geolica (Geo) Eyevelyn lenses in Brown and Choco:

These lenses are manufactured by the popular circle lens company Geolica (Geo). I believe this is the first Silicone Hydrogel lens offered by Geo and it comes in two natural colors; Brown (light/red-toned brown) and Choco (dark brown). These lenses claim to offer increased comfort, oxygen flow and UV protection. It is also approved by the USA FDA.

Neo Dali Brown series: 

These lenses have been popular for several years now. They boast moderate enlargement and a natural accent on the eyes. They are natural but more bold than those above. This series offers three brown colors at 14.2mm: Dali Sweet Chocolate (ash brown), Dali 2 Brown (dark choco brown), and Dali Premium Brown (red-toned brown).

Geolica Coco30 Brown:

Another one of Geolica's circle lenses, the Coco30 brown is a monthly-disposable lens that claims to have a beauty-camera effect. It gives your eyes a natural enlarging effect without photoshop or editing. This lens uses the dual coating technology so the contact pigment does not have direct contact with your eyes.

Haul & Swatches: E.L.F. Studio Baked Blushes

Hello lovelies!

Today I will be posting swatches of the E.L.F. Baked Blushes that I have recently purchased during the 50% off sale. These were originally only $3 each and were $1.50 during the sale. 

Here are the baked blushes that I picked up (left to right): Peachy Cheeky, Rich Rose, and Pinktastic

This is Rich Rose, my favorite of the 3. I find this shade to be a shimmery version of the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed. This is a shimmery light mauve with a hint of rosy tones.

 In the stock photo the Peachy Cheeky was a coral color, but in actuality it is a light pink color. I would compare this color to be a lighter pink version of the Milani blush in Luminoso. It is a shimmery dual-tone light pink/gold with hints of chocolate.

Pinktastic is not pinktastic at all. Don't get me wrong, this is a beautiful shade, but it is more of a highlighter color. The color is a shimmery cream base with hint of pink in it.

Review: Lioele Marbling Blusher Highlighter in Shining Aurora 01

Today I will be reviewing the Lioele Marbling Blusher (highlighter) in Shining Aurora. This item is called a blusher, but meant to be used as a highlighter. It is multi-purpose and can be used on various points of the face.

This highlighter comes in two colors, the first is Shining Aurora, a cream base mixed with blue, purple, and bronze. The second color is Shining Pink, a light pink base mixed with rose.

Lioele's packaging is always very pretty and princess-like. Their logo is a Cinderella-like carriage. 

The compact is very sturdy and the design is very pretty. Their logo is on the front of the compact with a little gem on top. It is a little bit bulky though and would not be convenient to carry around.

This compact also comes with a brush as well. The brush is slighting curved and the bristles are soft. I do like using my fan brush for highlighters, but might use the brush it comes with if I take this traveling.

The colors swirled into the cream base are very beautiful. Light lavender, sky blue, and a copper bronze.

One downside of this product is that it has a not-so-faint rose scent. It may not bother some people, but I prefer face products to be unscented or very mildly scented. The scent is very similar to that of the Banila Co The Secret Highlighter.

On the bottom is a heavy swatch, on top is a light swatch. This highlighter is very buildable and smooth. It applies well and is easy to blend out. I don't find this highlighter to be very subtle unless you use a light hand. It is not finely milled and it will definitely illuminate your complexion. I would not recommend applying this all over your face, only the points where light hits your face.

Here's a swatch on my finger. It is indeed very pigmented and will give you that glowing highlighted effect. Shimmer isn't chunky, but definitely not subtle.

Conclusion: 

I really do like this highlighter. I find my skin looking dull on certain days and this brightens up my entire complexion. I apply this on the top of my cheekbones, chin, and along the bridge of my nose. This is not a highlighter for people who want a subtle glow. The powder is very pigmented and it is not finely milled like the Hourglass ALPs. I find with the different pigments blended into this highlighter, it gives my face more dimension. Sometimes my skin still looks dull after applying highlighter, but the colors in this color-correct my complexion making my face look more awake and healthy. I got this for about $17 USD and the product amount is 15g. That is an incredible value considering the Banila Co highlighter is about $20-25 USD for 8g. I purchased this from a reputable seller on ebay.

Review: L'oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer

My review today will be on the New L'oreal Magic Lumi Primer.

The description of this product says: 

A unique liquid light formula that blends seamlessly into the skin to boost its liveliness and luminosity

Texture is smoothed and toned for a natural-looking complexion

Universal shade suitable for all skin types and tones

I picked this item up after seeing a Youtuber (KathleenLights) mention this in a video. I have really been liking the healthy look of dewy, glowing skin lately rather than matte so I thought I'd give this item a try. This item costs about 13.49 USD at Target for a 0.68oz bottle. 

The bottle is very slim and small, great for traveling or throwing into your purse. It is a lot more portable than my Etude House Face Blur.

The primer is very watery and the shade is a pearl-white color. The consistency is unlike any primer I've tried and personally am not a fan of it. I like primers that even out the skin's surface and leave a texture for the foundation to stick on to.

The primer leaves a very beautiful glow. It is a little bit on the silver side because of the pearl-white color, but I find that it is light-reflecting and glowy. I don't think this is suitable for all skin tones as I feel it is almost too light for mine (NC 25) I feel this product is more suitable as a highlighter than a primer. I think it would also be good to mix a couple drops of this with your foundation to give it a boost. Since it is spring time right now, I think I will use that method to give my foundations a little bit of a boost.

Conclusion: 

Not much of a primer, but would be good as a liquid highlighter or a foundation booster. Color appears to be suitable for lighter skin tones because of the pearly white shade and may leave a white-cast on darker skin tones. Would I recommend? No. Although the idea was great, I don't find this to be a primer. I think I will just stick to my EH Face Blur primer for now.

Review: Comparison Skinfood Rice Wash Off Mask and Black Sugar Wash Off Mask

I'm sure many of you have already heard about the SKINFOOD Black Sugar and Rice Wash Off Masks, but for those who haven't or can't decide between which on to choose, I have written a detailed comparison between the two products.

How to use: Massage product onto damp face for 1 minute, wait 10-15 minutes before rinsing off. I know a lot of people have misread this as massage for 10-15 minutes, don't do that! That will harm your skin if you massage it in for that long. Also waiting the full 15 minutes after massaging will help you achieve the best results. 

Texture and scent: The texture is quite gritty and coarse. Make sure your face is damp before applying this (best right after you wash your face) because it can feel quite coarse and difficult to spread if your skin is not damp enough. The scent is a medium strength sweet scent, not overpowering but if you are sensitive to scents I would stay away from this product.

The Black Sugar Mask I picked up happened to be a large limited edition size that is only available at SKINFOOD stores. If you could buy the 100g size online I would recommend getting that one first to see if you like the product or not.

Results: This mask left my face extremely smooth and soft. It exfoliated all the small bumps out of my skin and left it feeling baby-soft and refreshed. I recommend doing this once a week, but maybe twice a week if your skin is less sensitive. I have dry flaking around my nose and have no experienced that 4 days after I used this mask. It really helped remove the dead skin that is prone to flaking off.

Up next is the Rice Mask...

How to use: This is the same at the Black Sugar mask! Massage product onto damp face for 1 minute, wait 10-15 minutes before rinsing off. Texture and scent: The texture is very gentle and soft. Great for sensitive skin. When I have breakouts or if the weather is colder, I opt for this because it is very soft and not too harsh on my skin. The scent is a very mild sweet rice scent.

This mask I purchased online for around $10 USD for a 100g jar

Results: This mask leaves my face feeling very soft and bright. I can see that my face looks a lot healthier after using this product, probably because of the brightening properties of rice. This is good for people who want a skin pick me up, but not if you want some real exfoliation. 

Conclusion: 

If you like an exfoliator that really evens out the texture of your skin and removes dead skin, I recommend the Black Sugar mask. If you want a mask that makes your skin feel soft and look bright, I recommend going for the Rice Mask. Or if you're like me and want a little bit of both.. then get both! These masks are both really great and I find they've really changed up my skincare routine after incorporating them
