Review: NEW Shara Shara Berry (Mix) Bomb and Shara Shara Aqua Bomb

So I'm sure you guys remember from my last post about the new Shara Shara products, that I wanted to try them out myself. I ordered both the Berry Bomb and Aqua Bomb when I saw they were released and now I will be reviewing them. I received these about 2 weeks ago so I've been able to try both of the new products and see how they worked on my skin. I will not be doing a full review on the original Honey Bomb in this post but you can read my full review of it here.

The Berry Mix and the Aqua Bomb come in the same 250 ml size as the original Honey Bomb did. It is a very substantial size so I don't actually recommend getting all three at the same time because of the expiration date (2 years from manufacture) and that it needs to be used in 1 year after opening. I know some people also have concerns about hygiene because of the fact it is in such a large sized jar, so please keep this in mind before purchasing.

Ingredient list: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, niacinamide, panthenol, glyceryl Les -26, di glycerin, betaine, PEG/PPG -17/6 copolymers, Phellinus Linteus mushroom extract, burdock root extract, kava leaf / root / stem extract, Portulaca Oleracea extract, kudzu root extract, licorice extract, peony extract, Cnidium Extract, Acai palm extract, jindeul strawberry seed extract, grape extract, fruit extract de Vigo child, hanryeoncho extract, raspberry extract, blueberry extract, mulberry root extract, raspberry extract, bark extract wanggyul, India Melia azedarach leaf extract, flower extract of Melia azedarach India, eggplant extract, aloe vera extract, flowers, holly basil leaf extract, rosehip fruit extract, bowls palm fruit extract, apricot extract, turmeric extract, indeed coralline extract, polyoxy ethylene Hydro jeneyi suited castor oil, soluble collagen, aloe vera ipjeup, hyaluronidase with sodium carbonate, orange peel oil, hydro jeneyi suited lecithin, 1,2-hexane diol, articles lycopene room trehalose, Carbomer, Hydro Hydro jeneyi suited starch Raleigh St., tromethamine, xanthan gum, glyceryl polymethacrylate, acrylic ammonium methyl taurates ildi / V Pico polymer, echil hexyl glycerin, polyquaternium -51, adenosine, disodium this dt A, polrik acid, ceramide 3, cholesterol, raffinose, penta-peptide palmitoyl-4, phenoxyethanol

Berry/fruit extract highlights: Grape extract, Raspberry extract, Eggplant, Euterpe Oleracea fruit, Strawberry extract, Orange peel oil, Citrus extract, Blueberry extract, Grapefruit peel extract, Apricot extract

What's great about it: It makes my skin look brighter and healthier, especially since it has many antioxidant properties from the fruit extracts. There is no strong scent and applies well under makeup. It doesn't leave a sticky residue and feels very light on the skin because it absorbs very well into the skin. I use it when my skin looks tired or dull and needs a pick-me-up, and it helps my skin look like it had a full night's rest. I especially like generously applying on my face as a sleeping pack before special events because it really brightens up my skin as well as many brightening masks do.

Ingredient highlights: Tea tree leaf extract, Sugar cane extract, Jasmine Extract, Bamboo extract, Honeysuckle extract, Lemon oil, Clove oil, Rosemary oil, Eggplant extract, Witch Hazel, damask rose oil, cypress leaf extract, Carbonated Water, Sea Water, Glacier water

What's great about it: Its cooling and cleansing properties is what makes this product the "aqua bomb". With tea tree, jasmine, lemon oil, witch hazel, and various waters, this product can calm and cleanse your skin. I especially like to use this when my face is irritated, red, or if I am breaking out. It is able to calm my breakouts without adding irritants to my skin. It is not sticky and is good for hydrating your skin. I use this before my nighttime moisturizer before I sleep or apply this in the morning if I wake up with red/inflamed skin.

How I use it: The Shara Shara bombs are extremely versatile so I can use it anytime throughout the day. Also because of the weightless feel and that it is packed with extracts and nutrients for the skin, it is easy to incorporate into any routine. I just use the spatula that comes with it and use one spoonful for my entire face and neck. Don't forget to take care of the skin on your neck as well to prevent sagging, darkening and aging of the skin there. I can use this under my makeup because of how thin the product is and how well it absorbs into my skin. I also sometimes use this to mix with my regular foundations to sheer it out a bit and give my skin a natural glow, also really great for making your own cushion foundation.

Consistency: All of these have different consistencies. The Aqua Bomb is very watery and absorbs quickly into the skin. This is because the Aqua bomb contains sea water, glacier water, and carbonated water. The Berry Mix Bomb is the most viscous and holds its shape very well. It will not drip when you are applying it on your face. The Honey Bomb in comparison is viscous but not as much as the Berry Bomb. It has an amber color and will leave a slightly tacky feel on the skin.

Where to buy: These products are still a little difficult to purchase because of how new they are. I purchased mine from eBay (kimstrade) and I know they are a authentic seller because I have purchased from them before. The price of this was about $32 for each one which is very reasonable for the about of product you are receiving, this is around the same price as the Honey Bomb. Warning: there is an issue with the packaging and some product may spill in shipping. It appears it doesn't happen with just certain sellers, but just an issue with the product packaging. It is sealed from the outside but the jar itself is not sealed.

Conclusion:
I love both of these new products and I find that they are used for different purposes. The Aqua Bomb is hydrating and cooling, good for inflamed, red skin and breakouts. It absorbs quickly into the skin so it is easy to incorporate into any routine. The Berry Mix bomb is good for brightening the skin and keeping it looking healthy and youthful. Because of the antioxidant and nutrient-rich berry and fruit properties, it is a great way to give your skin that boost. I find both of these are good for dry, normal and oily skin, because once it absorbs, it feels like just your skin. They are both very hydrating, but It does not replace a moisturizer though. Whether you use a light or heavy moisturizer, follow moisturizer after using this to seal it in and keep your skin moisturized.

  2. Great, thorough review! This might sound a bit silly, but how do you apply the product to your face once you scoop it out with the spatula? I generally dislike rubbing my hands on my face no matter how clean(I'm a bit paranoid) , but I concede it is sometimes necessary.
